L220-40F Limit Switch
The L220-40F is a limit switch that is designed into the HCB Series heaters. The L220-40F limits the total heat output by monitoring actual water flow through a HCB Series circulation pump. This unit uses either 0/Off or 4 to 20 mA current loop signal connections and has an IP65 rating.
The L220-40F electronic limit switch is used to control operation of the Modine Premier fireplace inserts. The L220-40F limits operation of the blower and firebox burners to a maximum of 40,000 BTU's in a typical fireplace application. The L220-40F also has a normally closed pull for second stage fuel gas.
The Modine L220-40F thermostat is designed for use with the Modine High Speed Residential Furnace. It allows you to program a temperature range in which the furnace will cycle on and off to maintain a set temperature. This 2-position limit switch can also be used as an alarm contact in combination with a separate control logic device.

The use of a limit switch is recommended in the following applications: furnaces, burners, boilers, and units with integral fan motors. The L220 Series provides user selectable points of 0° to 100°F as well as 200°F. Fits in a 1/2" NPT hole.
