Modine 5000 Series Inducer Motors The 5000 Series Inducer Motor, designed for use with forced air systems, provides a volume capacity of up to 34 scfm and up to 0.54" water column at 115/60 Hz.

Inducer motors may be used for in-line refrigeration or freezer systems to provide air flow to the evaporator. Inducer motors come with either a 1-inch (26 mm) or 1-1/2 inch (38 mm) diameter, ball bearing shaft. 6 pole motors have two extra leads as compared to 5 pole motors and are used to energize the condenser fan motor; 5 pole motors are recommended for applications where compressor run time is less than 10 minutes per hour.

This motor is an inducer motor. It has been tested for a power factor of .85 and a TEFC of .87, with an IP55 fit & finish enclosure (Intrinsically safe version also available).
