The Honeywell Fire Smoke Actuator (FSA) is a fire and smoke detection system for use in residential and commercial applications where 24 VDC power is available. The FSA senses smoke and fire in the room or area it protects. When the FSA senses a fire or high level of smoke, it signals the system to activate. The system may then be used to conveniently control smoke detectors, provide notification via sounders, alert building occupants to danger, or signal the central station of a fire alarm through the fire alarm system.

The FMA30A Series fire/smoke actuators (FSA) are microprocessor-based electronic actuators that protect life safety from fire and smoke hazards. The FSA performs automatic actuation in response to a single or dual failure of the smoke detection loop.
