The Advantage 420 Half Facepiece is a full-featured facepiece that offers a low profile, easy-adjust head harness and optimum comfort. It has a heat and chemical resistant hood, soft non-irritating exhaust valves, and an inner air venturi to ensure comfort.

MSA's selection of ADVANTAGE series facepieces for half-mask SCBAs allow users to choose the correct amount of lens area for their specific task, taking into consideration factors such as the range and toxicity of the atmosphere, heat stress, and expected work time. The large lens area on the ADVANTAGE 420 provides good downward and side viewing capabilities, making it well suited for use in areas with low ceilings or limited visibility.

This MSA Advantage 420 Quick Latch Assembly is made of a high-strength glass-reinforced nylon-66. This material is resistant to stress cracking seen in other plastics with sudden temperature changes, and high loads. This medium size 4402QL assembly is compatible with Medium MSA Advantage 420 series hard hats.

The MSA Advantage-MEDIUM facepiece combines all the components of a full face respirator and packs it into a half face design. The Advantage-MEDIUM is NIOSH approved Class 2 (P100) for organic vapors, particulates not otherwise regulated and oxidizing gases. It also meets the requirements of NFPA for use in areas where flammable liquids or vapors are present.
