Our File-8 knife is convenient size for any lock filing job. It has a solid, high carbon steel blade with three holes to reduce weight and eliminate clogging, thus assuring you'll never be slowed down in your filing.
The File-8 is a high performance, durably constructed tool designed with the cabinetmaker in mind. The blade has an 8 tpi Crosscut tooth pattern that sands harder woods faster than traditional 4 tpi or 16 tpi keyhole patterns.
One of our favorite Nicholson knives for the money is the Filet 8 knife. This is a great choice for salmon, tuna or fillet of beef. Well balanced and sharp right out of the box it is ideal for both home and commercial use.
The Nicholson File 8 knife is a great value on a knife that will last for years and years. It features a high-carbon steel blade which gives it strength and durability and maintains its edge under the most extreme of applications. This full tang knife comes with a solid walnut handle and is 9" long overall."
A step up from the Nicholson Bastard Knife, this one has a beautiful nickel finish. It is a great knife to have around the shop or farm for a variety of uses. The Bastard blade is wider at the spine and narrower at the point of the knife. It gives you a better chance to create a new edge on a dull blade, thus it is used more frequently by farmers and ranchers than the regular Hunter's blade.
The Bastard cut offers an excellent way to transition from one tool to another and is ideal for use in a chisel mortising machine. This knife has a 3-5/16" wide blade and is available with either a right or left tang.
This extra-heavy-duty file is used to smooth and finish rough surfaces on wood and metal.
