The OVD-6 is a 6" oil vent damper designed to prevent the release of flammable vapors in areas where potentially explosive concentrations of flammable vapor may accumulate. The OVD-6 is designed to comply with NFPA code requirements, which require the automatic release of flammable vapor from the area below a mechanical equipment floor or platform. The OVD-6 is supplied complete with one (1) WMO-1 Weather Monitoring Opening. This opening allows for monitoring of weather conditions and detection of any gas leakage at or below the floor level.

The OVD-6 is a 6" Oil Vent Damper, which provides an economy solution for new or replacement installations where a smaller diameter vent is necessary. A 4" collar is provided for venting applications.

OVD-6, 6" OIL VENT DAMPER (INCLUDES WMO-1) - This field controls OVD can be used in place of the standard damper on most 6" oil burner vents. It includes a water meter over (WMO-1) to help prevent freeze damage to the vent stack and any underground piping.

The OVD-6 is the perfect solution for buildings with a need to prevent excess water and oil migration. The OVD-6 includes a WMO-1 Water Meter Overflow, which controls excess water migration back into the HVAC system. The OVD-6 is used in applications where there are likely to be large temperature changes.

Used in new construction and retro fit to provide positive relief from oil burner spillage, smoke and fumes. OVD-6 6" OIL VENT DAMPER (INCLUDES WMO-1) is a factory assembled device that allows the use of a 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" wall opening. The damper has an adjustable spring loaded swing check for leak free operation.

The OVD-6 is a 6" Oil Vent Damper (includes WMO-1) used on MetroPac vent stands. The OVD-6 allows for flow control of the heated oil. This damper is available in 4, 6 and 8 inch sizes.

MetroPac's OVD-6 Oil Vent Damper features a durable, stainless steel construction and is constructed with heavy gauge pipe in order to provide reliable performance. The OVD-6 is designed for use with MetroPac's WMO-1 Oil Vent Modulation Valve and can be used with all common heating oil piping systems.
