The Johnson Controls 8442 P32 Series Sensitive Differential Pressure Switches are manual on-off or on-off SPDT devices used for controlling air flow or activating alarms triggered by an air pressure differential. These pressure switches are available with 0.05 to 5" WC, adjustable set point, single pole, double throw circuitry for simple circuit design.

The Series 8442 sensitive differential pressure switch is a snap-action low differential pressure switch with an adjustable setpoint. It has a PNP output and can be used as a simple on/off device or as a differential pressure controller to monitor pressure differentials within a central processing unit.

A two position (ON/OFF) pressure switch is typically used with a blower door damper, allowing the damper to be opened and closed based on differential pressure across the plenum. These switches usually have a set point at which the damper switches from one position to another. The set point for this switch is adjustable from 0.05" Wc at the low of the range to 5" Wc at the high of its range.
