SPDT DIFFERENTIAL AIR PRESSURE SWIT
Johnson controls 8442 p32 series sensitive differential pressure switch, single-pole, double-throw, adjustable set point, 0.05-5" wc range is a pilot operated variable differential pressure switch. This pilot operated model features an adjustable set point from a minimum of .05 to a maximum of 5 inches water column (lcps). The toggle style spdt manual override switch is designed for use with air systems. The wiper seal is constructed from stainless steel and will easily handle high pneumatic pressures and temperatures.
Differential pressure switches are used to protect against water vapor or particulates from entering a heated or cooled area. The Johnson Controls 8442 P32 Series DAP uses a unique two-wire, single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) normally open (NO), adjustable set point. These devices allow protection against water vapor and particulates while minimizing the risk of nuisance tripping due to changes in humidity.
The 8442 is a differential pressure switch with adjustable set point and repeatability. It is available in zero to 5 in. wc (water column) range. It contains an extra heavy duty case, and is suitable for liquids, gases and vapors. The rugged solid brass diaphragm has a minimum rating of 15 psi W.C., an adjustment span of 1 in., and an operating temperature range of -18_ to 212_F.
The 8442 P32 Series differential pressure switch is a direct replacement for NA and older JCI models. With its rugged stainless steel construction and IP68/69k sealing, the 8442 P32 Series has been designed to withstand the toughest applications on the market. It also features an adjustable set point providing added versatility and several different mounting options including DIN rail or a 2-hole panel mount for difficult installations.
Our P32 Series Sensitive Differential Pressure Switch meets NEMA 4X/IP66 design criteria to withstand exposure to coolants and oil. The option of adjusting the set point pressure range provides flexibility when selecting the appropriate switch for different applications.
The p32 Series Sensible Pressure Switches (DPS) have a differential pressure shunt for indicating airflow within ductwork or enclosures. For the 8442 Series, there are two different setpoints, one for "over" dampers and the other for "under" dampers.
Johnson Controls' P32 Series Sensitive Differential Pressure Switches are available in different set points and pressure ranges. They also have either double-pole or single-pole configurations. They have adjustable set point, 0.05-5 W o C range, and are constructed of NEMA 4X stainless steel with safety glass viewing windows.
