FLAME SENSOR KBN080-500, AWN & WB
A.O. Smith model FLAME SENSOR KBN080-500, AWN & WB
The FLAME SENSOR KBN080-500, AWN & WB is a flame sensor for all convection models except the 125430-model. This product also designed for 120V voltage applications.
A.O. Smith Flame Sensor FLAME SENSOR KBN080-500, AWN & WB is a gas ignition sensor that monitors the flame from the cooktop or range burner. The sensor reduces the risk of gas leakage and fire by detecting if the flame has gone out.
For use with: A.O. Smith Flame Sensor Part Numbers: AWN, AHW, PWN, PWNA, FLAME SENSOR KBN080-500, AWN & WB.
A flame sensor is a device used in gas or electric ranges to detect if the flame on the burner is lit. Flame sensors save energy by turning off the burner when there is no energy demand. The flame sensor will shut off the burner until there is a need for additional heat. Flame sensors can eliminate constant ignition/shutoff cycles caused by fluctuations in natural gas supply pressure, which reduces wear and tear on the pilot light and burner components. This flame sensor has a flame switch that is shut off at 500°F. The part number for this flame sensor is KBN080-500, AWN & WB
The Flame Sensor Kit provides an automatic shut off for the water heater at the gas supply to detect abnormal flame and gas supply which may cause dangerous situations.
The Flame Sensor detects flame failure in gas-fired appliances and automatically shuts down the burner (gas logs not included). The Flame Sensor replaces the "Flame Failure" wire commonly found in most gas logs . If the flame fails, a rod moves down stopping power to the gas valve. This is a manual reset type device. When the Flame Sensor is used without an electronic ignition system, a manual pilot light will be required.
