This part controls the amount of gas being delivered to the burners. The Vulcan is a true full-featured home espresso machine with automatic steam pressure relief. The pressure relief valve included with the machine is designed to relieve steam pressure at 10 bar, which is greater than what you would need for a cup of espresso. This regulator will yield a slight reduction in the maximum extraction pressure available from the machine – at 9 bar – and a corresponding reduction in maximum extraction pressure available per group – at 15 bar – but still enables a good extraction with a good amount of crema.
