Our NEW 2.5"x .900" Equalizer hitch shank is a great option for those that need to tow larger trailers and have an existing trailer hitch on their pickup truck. This shank will help eliminate the twisting and flexing often associated with the smaller 2"x .750" shanks. It also gives you the ability to adjust greater hook angles depending on your load.

The Equalizer Hitch Shank is a shank-style hitch adapter designed to be used in place of a traditional trailer ball, providing an easy way to tow jet skis or other sport boats behind any vehicle. It has a 2.5" diameter shank to slide inside a standard trailer coupler and features a coupler pin hole sized for 2" trailer balls. Made from heavy-duty steel with an aluminum shank and stainless steel coupler pin, the Equalizer has been SAE-tested to 20000 lbs.

Equalizer® hitch shank

The Equalizer Hitch Shank is the bolt-on solution to improve the tongue weight distribution of your trailer. The adjustable shank provides up to an extra 900lbs of tongue weight.

Equal-i-zer hitch shanks are used to make a connection between an Equalizer fifth wheel hitch and the trailer. It is specific for each type of carrier and coupler. They consist of a bar, two plate hangers, and three high strength bolts. The shank is attached to the trailer coupler by bolting through the shank pin holes into the fifth wheel head assembly.
