The 0.028 in orifice diameter Flame Rectifier Gas Pilot (P/N: 2373)is a gaseous pilot device that does not feed gas to the gas-fired appliance. Instead, it requires the flame from an igniter electrode to pass through the gas stream that it produces. The GRIEFPROD series of igniter electrodes have been specifically designed for use with the Flame Rectifier Gas Pilot (P/N:2373).

Flame rectifier pilot assemblies have a generalized application where flame-ignition is used to obtain a desired gas flow rate. They are usually applied in relatively low pressure, single-stage gas supply systems and their direct flame control action overcomes the effects of pressure fluctuations resulting from changes in gas demand.

The 2290 series is a popular line of thermocouple regenerative gas pilots used to supply pilot flame for all types of gas flame rectifiers up to 1200 C. A guard type heater/ignitor system is used to maintain consistent, constant temperature in the thermocouple element which reduce electrode wear and damage from arc-over.
