The RACK, BASE protects your vehicle's roof and enhances carrying capacity. It features tie-down rings that provides a convenient place to secure kayaks, boats, or other gear. It works with Thule Touring Kayak Carrier or the Thule Side Load system to get in and out easily. And it includes load bars for carrying up to 2 pairs of skis or 3 snowboards - depending on your gear.

Select this option to add a stand for use on a panel vehicle. The stand (Base Rack, Full Size, 4 102 mm) is an optional accessory that allows you to install a full-size rack into your rack-compatible vehicle. You must remove the crossbar locks found on the front of most Yakima rack systems in order to install a Base Rack system into your vehicle.

The Base Rack is designed to be used with Full-Size Bed Rail Systems for class C motor homes and fifth wheel trailers. This full size rack is made from steel, has welded end caps, and an adjustable support leg. The Base Rack measures 4 inches in height.

Easily mount the rack to the top of any StowAway® Standard or SuperStow® Rack using the universal quick connect mounting brackets. The full size base is not a stand alone rack! It must be connected to another rack with the universal brackets in order for it to work.
