The RAM MOUNTS170-RAMB231ZU is a u bolt for rails 0.5 to 1.25" mounts to rails from 0.5" to 1.25". The RAM MOUNT B231-ZU consists of two round heavy duty nylon u-bolt inserts and a mounting base. The base has four metal threads that match up with the threaded holes on the back side of the rail. The base expands to fit rails between 0.5" and 1.25" outside diameter steel railings and poles.

The 170-RAMB231ZU U-BOLT FOR RAILS is a simple but brilliant solution that allows you to connect just about any RAM mount Rail to any round or rectangular tube. The 175ZU can handle rails that are up to 1/2" in diameter, and up to 0.5" deep."

The RAMB-231U U-Bolt Base is a mounting base used primarily in the railings of trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles. It also can be used as a hook to hang signs or as an attachment point for tie downs.
