The SURGE PROTECTOR RSH-50 3-stage design combines a fast reacting surge suppression crystal followed by an automatic recovery circuit with a zero voltage switching at final point of regulation. The unit is actuated by means of two independent control mechanisms, a manual reset and an automatic reset timer.

The unit has one input and three outputs, the highest of which can be used as a load shedding input. The unit's input circuit breaker has a 30 amp rating and houses both the low voltage control circuitry and the high voltage circuit breaker for protection of the unit itself.
