The Reznor Gas Valve is a two-stage, normally closed, pilot-operated poppet valve. It is used in applications which require the control of gas flow or pressure. The device consists of a pilot poppet and main poppet, both internally spring loaded to the shut position. A port on the body allows communication between the gas supply and atmosphere, regardless of the position of the valve. The main poppet is spring loaded to remain in the open position until actuated by the pilot.

The Reznor two-stage gas valve is designed to be installed into a gas piping system, and is used in the hot water supply loop of the home. This product is tested for leaks with nitrogen during assembly and continuously monitors the integrity of the internal gaskets, preventing gas from leaking from the product. The Reznor Valve has been extensively tested through its life cycle to ensure that it meets or exceeds all Canadian and American standards for safety and quality.
