The Charge Compensator (CC) saddle valve fits in any 7/8""x 3/8"" (22-23mm) pipe. This fully adjustable Charge Compensator was designed for optimum performance when used with Rheem high efficiency gas-fired water heaters (300,000 BTU output natural vent only).

The RHEEM 83-104499-11 Charge Compensator is a polyurethane foam, 7/8" diameter by 3/8" thick. It wraps around hot water pipe under your floor or behind your water heater. The Charge Compensator is used as a thermal break to reduce the transfer of heat from the hot water pipe back to your fiberglass hot water tank. By reducing this thermal transference you can increase the efficiency of your hot water system and reduce your hot water heating costs.
