The RIO 587 Underwater Cities: New Discoveries is a game of colonization and conquest. Players begin the game at the beginning of a new era: one of greedy explorers seeking treasure beyond their wildest imaginings. Players can score big by making the right discovery and then developing and defending it. Once a treasure has been established, players can score consistent points from it, or risk it all for a big burst of points. But be warned – other players can take away what you've worked so hard for.

Explore a new, mysterious world under the sea and collect valuable treasure with Underwater Cities. New Discoveries can be played independently or combined with any other Underwater Cities game.

The updated Underwater Cities is a tile-laying game for 2 to 6 players. New discoveries await as you work together with other players to resolve new challenges and discoveries, but you must act carefully. Avoid the costly fate of becoming mired in quicksand or sinking away into the deep blue sea!
