The York Marathon 1/3 HP Belt Drive Garage Door Opener is a 3/4 hp 24 volt unit. It is equipped with a 1075 RPM motor. Belt drive motors are quieter and have less vibration than chain drives, especially when compared with sprocket type chain drives. A belt drive system uses a spring-loaded idler wheel to adjust the tension on the belt according to the weight of the door being opened or closed.
