It comes with an overload protection of 135% lagging, 200% starting torque and is rated to 750 VA max. The York MTR series motors are a single phase, split capacitor type designed to provide positive starting for a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment applications. Capacitor starting motors have increased reliability over those with internal rotor resistance starters. Its design permits an easy replacement of internal insulation that may become worn or damaged as it is not subject to contamination from the motor lagging. Damage from arcing on the ends of the field winding bars is prevented by fabricating the field winding bars from a separate piece of copper, providing added protection against voltage leakage.
