The Setra RPS S pressure snubber, for constant pressure measurement, is a component in the Setra Type SN gas measuring system and measures room pressure to determine mass flow of air (version 0), or the room pressure and temperature and calculates the air mass flow (version 1) . The RPS S is either mounted directly on the end of a Setra Type SN gas sampling line, or onto the block of a Setra Type HRH vacuum line.

These pressure snubbers are used in conjunction with the Setra RPS S Constant Pressure Transmitters to ensure protection against over-pressure due to altitude or barometric pressure changes. Available in both room and remote type to suit application requirements

The Setra RPS S Pressure Snubber incorporates a float equipped with an air spring system, which creates gas-type pressure equalization, thereby minimizing the effects of pressure differences and preventing the ingress of moisture. For use in inert environments, i.e. pharmaceutical industry laboratories, clean rooms/environments or if dampness is not desired.

Setra RPS pressure snubber is the first to apply constant pressure measurement technology in measuring process environments. This patented technology provides superior reproducibility between 0-100 torr by eliminating the fluctuation of pressure within the set range. The Setra RPS S pressure snubber is designed for applications requiring an adjustable spring system fulfilling the volume compensated requirements of DIN EN 12544-2. The RPS S pressure snubber is a spring-loaded rod made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 1,000 mm. It has a maximum possible extension of 1,000 mm and a deflection angle of 20°.

The RPS S pressure snubber is intended for use with any of the PRS series of Electro-Pneumatic Regulators. It is supplied with this regulator and used for Constant Pressure Measurement. Connects the regulator outlet to the piping downstream of the pressure source to be measured. The RPS S complies with EN 61508:2006, ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, Fourth Amendment. EuP compliant. Performance Category 0 according to EN ISO 11207-2
