SIEMENS Building Technologies DUCT SENSOR QFM2100 uses a patented electret filter that provides absolute measurements. The QFM2100 sensor's output is a voltage proportional to the airborne particles captured by the filter at a given temperature. This value can be converted to an absolute measurement of particle size in micrometers by using the user-selectable temperature range, high temperature coefficient of resistance, and an experimentally derived relationship based on 2 million data points.
