RHEEM 234932 -Ruud Gas Control (Thermostat) Thermostat is required for gas water heaters that have an internal flame failure device. The thermostat senses temperature and opens or closes gas to the burner, as needed. It is precision calibrated to control burner flame intensity for maximum efficiency.

The Ruud SP20166B gas control for nat/LP 1/2" - 4" valve is designed to handle high-volume water and is compatible with all Ruud residential gas furnaces. This component also helps in keeping your furnace running efficiently.

This Ruud gas valve is designed to be used in natural gas water heater applications, but may be used for other purposes as well. It comes with a standard npt connection that is 3/8 NPT female with 1/2 NPT male x 1/2 NPT male swivel union connections.
