Our Astro Economy air undercoat spray gun provides an economical way to apply an anti-rust coating of oil, paint, or sealer to a surface. Not only is this tool useful for painting cars and trucks, it can also be used for engines and mechanical parts. Constructed from heavy duty industrial grade plastic with stainless steel fittings.

The AST4538 Astro economy air undercoat gun is designed for the economical, professional spray application of oil- and water-based stains and sealers. The AST4538 features a 1/3 hp, 5.0 SCFM air consumption and a 0.50 GPM liquid consumption. This gun meets the requirements for warranty coverage under the brand name Air Sparging Technology (AST).

The AST4538 Economy Air Undercoating Gun is designed for use with the Astro 4580 and 4590 airless paint sprayers. The AST4538 features a .029 diameter, 2 1/4" long x .12 diameter nozzle. The AST4538 is not compatible with other airless paint sprayer models or brands.

The Astro Undercoat Gun is a user friendly air undercoater gun that will spray high build or low build epoxy, vinyl ester, urethane, and oil based paint. The gun comes ready to use right out of the box with 165 PSI max operating pressure. It features a fully adjustable flow control valve, easy to use locking trigger with adjustable paint pattern settings, clear sight window and a large 4 quart easy pour cup.
