The Honda Recoil Starter features a durable housing and replaceable brush and commutator design. It is the same size as the stock starter, making installation easy. The Recoil Starter eliminates the need for expensive, time-consuming crankshaft modifications that are not compatible with many other starter brands.

The starter recoil assembly consists of cover, the starter motor, spool valve that encloses the copper wire recoiling mechanism and main spring tubing, which is also referred to as the binding or winding-up cord.

Powered by the Honda GX200 OHV i-VTEC engine. Speeds up to 14,000 rpm (14K) rated starter is engineered for easy recoil. This 16-3/4" long, 2.4 lb (1.1 kg) starter is designed to start both small and large engines on gasoline and alcohol fuels by pulling wire rope, not direct drive.
