The 3559 Series Horizontal Mounting Low Voltage Thermostat is a direct acting, pneumatic thermostat designed for commercial or household heating systems. It is suitable for direct installation with an integral sensing probe that measures temperature and operates on R22, R404A, and R134a refrigerants, as well as propane.

The 3559 is a direct acting horizontal mount thermostat with high rupture capacity. It features a self-contained pushbutton switch with free field wiring for hand single pole operation, flush or surface mounted configuration, and pushbutton safety lock-out feature. The 3559 is constructed of stainless steel, UL/cUL Listed Class 30A, CSA Certified NO. 541 Type B and designed to meet NFPA 90A requirements.
The 3559 is a single stage high volume output pneumatic direct acting thermostat for control of heating and cooling systems. It is designed to handle high loads; however, if the control is not in an air conditioned space it should be mounted vertically.
The Johnson Controls 3559 single temperature high volume output thermostat is suitable for ventilation, unit heaters, and water heaters. Its horizontal mounting design has a one-inch diameter lens and a pair of six-inch leads to connect. The thermostat has an adjustable maximum and minimum temperature with an operating range of 30 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Single Temperature High Volume Output Thermostat from Johnson Controls can be used to control 24 VDC or 120-277 VAC motors with thermal protection and without auxiliary switching. The thermostat operates on two terminal voltage (24 VDC) and direct acting ambient temperature sensing. It is suitable for continuous or intermittent operation, and it does not have any over-temperature protection. The thermostat can be mounted horizontally in a cased hole, panel, or duct.
