The THERMOPILE is a six-foot length of clear, reinforced thermopile material with a 1.25 inch outer diameter and five-eighths inch thickness. It also has one end of the thermopile wrapped in copper wire. The THERMOPILE attaches to the leather helmet liner assembly by a Sears and Roebuck and Co. 14-in nonrusting nickel plated steel split rivet.
