The Maxitrol 3836 Discharge Air Temperature Sensor, 55-90 Degree F Temperature Range is a NTC thermistor (negative temperature coefficient) sensor that can be used to sense discharge air temperature. The Maxitrol 3836 Air Temperature Sensor is designed to read discharge air temperature of clean dry air from a boiler or industrial furnace. Available in 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", and 2" diameters the sensors are used where the discharge air temperature will be below 660F. The sensor operates by passing a small current through an element and indicates a resistance that is proportional to the temperature of the element.
