The 13X13.5 Prop HUSTLER 3B 5 blade has proven to be a real performer for shallow running boats but they still need to turn and pump water when they plane, hence the high pitch. This is the reason for the 16 inch pitch of this 3 blade which will deliver faster top speeds yet still have enough pitch to maintain efficiency at increased speeds. It is not uncommon in some cases for a boat to get 5-6 more mph with this larger prop than it did with a more traditional 13 x 13.5 3 blade.

The HUSTLER 3B is excellent for family fun or water skiing. It has a larger diameter so it turns slower than the other props we carry. It gives you plenty of power and prop clearance for smooth, quick steering response on the water. The extra large hub area is stronger than the other props in its class.

Our "Turning Point" 3B Propeller has a 5 degree Spear-point shape, with an increased swept back leading edge. The "Standard" Propeller angle for most airscrews is 10-15 degrees off the plane of the aircraft's centerline. (Some airscrews do not use the "Standard" angle.) This offers a 10 degree offset. On most larger airplanes a 15-20 degree offset would be used. Offsets vary, but are based on actual testing, to minimize drag and noise while maintaining efficiency.
