Hot Surface Ignitor
No need to turn the grill on and risk a burn to start cooking. With Hot Surface Ignitor, you can start cooking as soon as the cover is off your barbeque. Just lift the lid of your grill or smoker, and the bolts will extend above the grates. You'll know when it's hot enough with its glowing red-hot head.
Enjoy the convenience and reliability of gas with the Hot Surface Ignitor for your Weber Q Grill. Just place a natural chunk of wood, charcoal or small piece of wood onto the cast-iron Hot Surface Ignitor, and it will energize the barbecue flames to begin grilling. It's an ideal accessory for the outdoor grilling season!
The Hot Surface Ignitor will fit the following models: Bryant, Carrier, Day & Night Grill Master, Heil, Heritage, Lennox and Rheem, Intertherm/A.O. Smith, Nordyne Model SGI-48-150-20 or 7301-M2; Peerless Model #SGI48-150-20 or 7301-M2; Ruud Model SGI-48-150-20 or 7301-M2.
The Hot Surface Ignitor is designed to provide ignition to the burners of a gas grill. When installed, it will be positioned beneath the bottom grate and adjacent to the burners. The Hot Surface Ignitor is constructed of porcelain enameled steel, and it should not be covered with foil or grill covers that may damage the ignitor.
The Hot Surface Ignitor should be installed by a qualified service technician. Changing this hot surface ignitor will not void the warranty.
The Hot Surface Ignitor is a DC voltage output device that electronically controls the heating element power. This part mounts to the back of most components that require flame type heat. (Weber gas grills are only one example of this type of application.) It senses the surface temperature of the metal and matches it with the ignition voltage requirements for accurate control.
Our Hot Surface Ignitors can replace any standard gas grill ignitor. Its durable design is made to withstand extreme cold weather and temperatures and are easy to replace for your Weber non-gas grills.
