TJERNLUND side wall venting systems are widely used to vent residential and commercial gas appliances such as water heaters, boilers and furnaces. They supply combustion air directly to the appliance through louvered exterior or interior venting sidewalls. TJERNLUND side wall products also provide combustion moisture removal through the use of self-cleaning rain caps and louvered sidewalls. TJERNLUND side wall venting systems are manufactured in sizes up to 60,000 BTU on single or multiple pieces.

This TJERNLUND vent system is designed to draw combustion air for gas-fired water heaters and boilers from outside the structure through dual exhaust. The DIRECT EVAP system provides a vent piping arrangement that does not include a vent cap. Direct expansion systems are specifically designed for use with gas fired equipment that can be installed in basement or crawl space areas where venting to the outside of the structure is difficult, impossible or not permitted by code. Also known as an outdoor ventilation system, it brings combustion air from within the structure to the gas burner which then exhausts combustion products outdoors.

The TJERNLUND 4930 VP-2F side wall vent is a direct replacement for the coalbin vent of many coalfiring water heaters and boilers. It is ideal for installations where the vent cannot be connected to a ceiling.
