The Wilkins 38-ZW3870XLT Zurn 3/8" Thermostatic Mixing Valve is a product that is used to both regulate flow and to heat or chill the water supply. It has three lead free copper deluge prongs that are placed in hot and cold water lines, while the copper trip lever is placed in a drain line. It also consists of an aluminum base, distal stem, tri-clamp mounting flange and a thermostatic disc washer. This mixing valve is designed to be used without external power.
