The Bell & Gossett model HFT-90 1BN329 expansion tank is made with maximum performance and durability. It can handle up to 200 psi and has a temperature range between 40 and 140 degrees F. It has a threaded top mount design with 1/2 in NPT connections.

The Expansion Tank is a water storage tank for a sprinkler system. The function is to temporarily hold excess water pressure from a system which would otherwise damage the pipes and fittings by over-pressurizing the system. The expansion tank is installed in-line between an irrigation controller or timer and the rest of the sprinkler system.

Xylem is subjected to pre-charge water pressure. Expansion tanks are designed to compensate for this pressure.
