The Yorkguard 1Stg Defrost Module is designed for installation in York, Trane, Rheem, Ruud and other one stage gas fired condensing units used in residential heating and cooling applications. The module provides continuous, integrated defrost control.

YorkGuard 1Stg Defrost Module is used where all available space behind the York Guard cartridge has been exhausted. The YorkGuard 1Stg module incorporates a single stage coil with a plastic orifice plate to create a wider air distribution for improved defrost performance.

The YorkGuard 1STG Defrost Module is designed for use with the YORK line of dehumidifiers and heat pumps and to provide dehumidification and/ or heat. It features a self-contained, plug-in defrost feature that eliminates frozen coils and standing water issues to virtually eliminate freeze-ups and minimize maintenance costs.

The Yorkguard S1-373-23867-001 defrost module addresses frost and ice buildup in walk-in freezers. The unit is made of galvanized steel and designed for use with both chest and upright freezers, and comes pre-assembled to make installation easy.

The York 1st Stage defrost control is used prior to the ejector. It smoothly reduces the warmer temperatures, allowing the evaporator coil to freeze solid. The 1Stg can easily be swapped out for an electronic defrost board, but if the heating element is working fine, that's likely not necessary.
