The Honeywell Range Multiplier Orifice (or Setpoint Cam Assembly, part number 10909) controls the operation of the gas valve assembly installed on wall ranges and rear-vented gas dryers that use automatic ignitors.

The orifice is a separate part from the range multiplier ass'y, incorporated in the range control, and attached to the gas tube over the burner. The orifice provides flame impingement to the system. The setting of the position of the orifice is very critical since flame impingement directly affects burner operation. This position must be readjusted when cleaning the burner openings.

The Range Multiplier (RM) Orifice creates a wider jet of flame while protecting the gas ports in the burners. It is used on the downdraft design of gas ranges.

The Range Orifice captures hot vapors from the fuel line, heats up to operating temperature and injects them into the burner liner. This increases BTU's in the combustion chamber and reduces fuel usage.
