The 48" Plug-In Mercury Flame Sensor for Variable Speed Furnaces and Classic Line Units is a mercury switch that can be used for gas or propane furnaces. It is for use with Variable Speed equipment only. The flame sensor must not have any mechanical contact as it will adversely affect the flame detection feature.
