RESISTOR KIT ** OBSOLETE REPLACE WITH 221508A2 **
This kit contains a series 90 module, and an obsolete resistor kit , called the "green module". It was assembled into a plastic case containing :
The RK920D/901D Resistor Kit converts a single-phase modulating control to a 2-wire time delay control. It is used when the supply voltage and setpoint vary, and full power on/off operation is desired.
The Modutrol Resistor Kit uses two electrically operated, heat-sensitive resistors to sense excess heat at the motor and indicator lamp thermistors. This allows the control to operate within the overheat and overtemperature limits of both thermistors.
The Honeywell Resistor Kit is designed to repair the Honeywell Model Series 90 Modutrol Motor Controllers that use one or two resistors. The installed resistor causes the motor to draw more current, which can cause damage to the motor and/or the overcurrent trip on the controller. This kit contains two 20-gauge 2-watt wire wound resistors with leads attached.
The RKC100 Resistor Kit converts one series 90 modutrol motor to a volt free contactor. It is used in conjunction with the M-100 Contactor Conversion Kit (Part No. 151495). Installation requires the motor be removed from the system, and a small hole drilled in the motor housing for attaching the resistor wire harness.
This kit contains the following: 2- 2.2 ohm, 4 watt resistors with female terminals on both ends, 2-single pole double throw switches, 5-female terminals and 5- 1/4 inch male terminals.
Series 90 Modutrol Motors are fault-protected against faulty fan and resistor operation. The resistor kit, including a cross-section of three different sizes of resistors and instructions for field replacements, is an additional safeguard against resistor failure.
