High Pressure Limit - Auto Reset
Rheem's Protech High Pressure Limit - Auto Reset provides additional protection against water damage to your home while driving a vehicle with an opened hot water tap. Once the temperature is high enough to turn on the boiler pump, it turns off again when the upper thermostatic limit is reached. Rheem's Protech system also resets once the temperature goes down to let water continue flowing into the boiler.

The RPB-17MAA-Y is a high pressure limit, base mounted heat anticipator with an auto reset. This unit was designed to serve markets that require automatic reset of gas valves for safety, such as hospitals, nursing homes, etc. This unit will ensure conditions within the unit are maintained at acceptable levels by stopping the gas when abnormal elevated pressures occur or resets automatically when pressures return to normal. This high pressure limit is used in conjunction with a transmitter and pressure gauge. It features an auto reset to prevent the compressor from cycling continuously. This unit is designed for use with Rheem single-stage & two-stage electric pumps. The limit has a 1/4'' MIP connection, is factory set, and is not adjustable.
