The Ruud 174122 RHEEM Limit Switch - Auto Reset (Board Mount) is an auto-reset type contactor for use in heating and air conditioning applications. It features case-hardened zinc steel alloy contacts, and a flame-resistant nylon cover to protect the action against dust, dirt, and other contaminants. The automatic reset switch is utilized as a safety device to control loads such as electric motors, fans, pumps, compressors, and heating or air conditioning systems.

This RHEEM 174122 Ruud Limit Switch - Auto Reset (Board Mount) is a direct replacement for a defective switch which is used on an electric water heater. This limit switch will work with both the hot and the thermal elements, and automatically resets when tripped.
