The 720-051 24V 1/2" X 3/4" HOT SURFACE IGNITIO offers excellent durability and reliable performance. It provides optimum ignition for most industrial applications. Robertshaw's best selling lubricated hot surface ignition, with 120V AC primary voltage. It is designed to operate the main burner of a gas fired water heater, furnace or boiler passing approximately 55 KVA max. thru the operating mechanism. The 24V Jumper Y-Cable is required to operate this GSI, It has two #16-2 UF wires that are protected by two 6" leads for supplying 120vac to the plug-in base that fits into a wall outlet.

The 24V Hot Surface Ignitor is a 24 volt replacement hot surface ignitor for Robertshaw products. It can be used on both electric and natural gas water heaters.

With a 24 volt Hot Surface Ignition (HIS) package, you can install this ignitor in any kitchen with a 24 volt system. Comparable to similar units from National San, this energy efficient ignition is not only quieter, but it also uses less electricity. While it can be used in almost any commercial application, it's recommended for high volume kitchens like buffets and bars.

The Hot Surface Ignitor is designed to operate the valve to the gas supply (listed in the 'related products' section below) in ignited gas floor heating systems. This model has a resistance type current limiting device for use with 24 Volt systems, such as RMI's Blizzard, Metrotrak and Quadrafire gas valves listed under 'Related Products'. The ignitor features a built-in line sensor for detecting if the pilot is extinguished. The thermal overload circuit breaker allows operation of the system even if the unit fails. This model can be wired up with either Series Wound or Shunt Wound transformers.
