24V DIRECT SPARK IGNITION MODULE
The DSI Module is a 24 V Direct Spark Ignition (DSI) unit that utilizes four (4) single failure tolerant transistors. The printed circuit card assembly is hot-pluggable. For added reliability, the device contains an internal backup battery.
Direct Spark Ignition (DSI) modules are manufactured to a very high specification to deliver the ultimate in reliability and performance. 4 second fire time, 24 V DC, Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) output, silicon control rectifier diodes and all types of plug & wire combinations.
Robertshaw Densitron direct spark ignition (DSI) modules are used with AGA* gas, and heated air convector boilers. Use this DSI module to convert an AGA or fired hot water heater from conventional magnetron ignition to direct spark. This DSI module features a four second time-to-fire, that makes them compatible with PSC Accupro series PLCs.
This module combines the trigger electrode system of a direct spark ignition (DSI) module with a timed-fire ignition (TFI) coil, all in one unit. The 4-second TFI allows for a broader range of applications. High voltage is directed to the spark plugs through separate paths so the module can be used on vehicles with downsized motors and smaller coil packs or where space does not allow for separate trigger and RF coils, such as in some Corvettes . Common Applications:
The DSI Module is the heart of a MILLENNIUM XL-55 gas control system, and is suitable for use with BOCS, MECO, CMI, and most other spark ignition systems. This direct spark ignition module (DSI) also has the capability to be used on direct/indirect natural gas applications. The DSI is rated for 18.6 kW type A, 14 kW type T and 16.9 kW type R ignition systems.
The only spark ignition module available for use on generator sets with engines running 4 KW. It features built-in mounting clips and input terminals fit SSI#G1750 through G2200 series Generators. This unit has been designed to replace older WOCS type spark ignition modules used on generator sets with engines running 25-80 KVA. This module eliminates the need for the CNC punch panels installed on older generator sets as a result of the design.
For use with solid state ignition systems for use in reciprocating engines and gas turbines. The module is suitable for 24 volt-fed, Otto-cycle, single or dual ignition systems. The module is characterized by its digital interpretation of the firing order and advanced control logic in combination with highly sophisticated modulation features as well as flexible electronic diagnosis and onboard CAN-bus communication capability.
