The expansion valve, TXV and bracket assembly is used to control water flow in a steam heating system. It is part of a multi-part valve assembly and includes either a thermal expansion valve, or a high pressure limit switch.

The expansion device, or TXV valve, is used on a natural gas system to control the flow of water vapor into the gas appliance and maintain the proper air/water ratio. The BT1369067, which has an Accu-Set handle for easy identification, is used with direct-vent gas fireplaces.

The BT1369067 Expansion Valve is used for cooling and heating systems that utilize a Carrier heat pump with a TXV (thermostatic expansion valve) circuit board. The valve is designed to protect against freezing conditions and is rated at 180 degrees F.
