From the first installation of a flame sensor in 1947 and continuously throughout the decades, Armstrong has manufactured and delivered Flame Sensors to meet today's challenges. Flame Sensor sales to ensure proper combustion in furnaces and ovens which are designed to burn gaseous or liquid fuels, such as natural gas, propane, oil or electricity.

Armstrong Air Flame Sensors detect flames directly and accurately with an infrared beam. The flame sensors may also be used with natural gas or propane appliances not equipped with a direct flame sensor; however the flame sensors must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
