The Firomatic series of fusible, solenoid valves is designed to meet the needs of applications that use fusible core valves. The design incorporates unique core heater and chip guards, an electromagnetic coil rated at 2500 watts continuous duty, overload protection and a controller with relay operation. The valves are available in two capacities; 1" (DN25) and 1-1/2" (DN40).
Base mount, normally closed, straight-through valve with fusible plug. Two piece unit with cover and bronze body. Valve seat and plug are manufactured from BN-90 tube steel having a yield point of 4500 psi (31.6 MPa). Plugs are 1/4" solid carbon steel, insulated, 177°C (350°F) minimum bend temperature and heat treated to 80 ksi minimum tensile strength. Toggle links are PL255 material. Bodies are 304L stainless steel. Seats and plugs are Type 302 acc.; drain is ASTM A414 F30; and lead is
This Inline Valve is designed for use in applications where line pressure exceeds the maximum allowable working pressure of the associated relief valve. The key operating features are: compact size, tandem operation and an internal bypass around the fusible link.
