Condensate Trap

The Condensate Trap works as an overflow device for the Bryant Trane 308589-402 or Carrier 308589-402 air conditioners. The device separates liquid condensate from gas and prevents the gas from entering the house.

The Carrier Condensate Trap is a replacement part for Carrier Gas Furnace Models number: Series: 4ZE, 4RZH and 6AL. This is also known as 308589-402 and part number 308589-402. It is a small component of the furnace that collects the condensation from the gas unit before it can reach the air that you breathe. These traps collect water, which must be drained periodically to prevent damage to your system.

Our Carrier Condensate Trap is constructed of durable carbon bronze and has a ½" oversized diameter drain to prevent clogging. Our trap also includes a removable dome top which can be replaced with a splash plate. The dome top allows for easier installation by allowing the installer to slide the trap over the pipe entering from above. Splash plates are recommended for wall flanges that are not sloped properly and direct impacting condensate water from entering an exhaust system.
