The Carrier 300483 OEM Furnace is a Limit Switch in the Gas Valve. It has a C-Face frame, L230-40 mounting dimensions, 3" rating, and 190-230F temperature range. This part ships without any warranty at all.
The Carrier OEM Furnace Limit Switch is used in older Carrier furnaces. In many cases, the pilot light goes out on a furnace due to a faulty limit switch or thermostat. The limit switch has an auto switch that activates whenever the temperature reaches a certain point. If the switch senses that the temperature is too high, then it tells the furnace to turn off.
This Carrier Limit Switch is an OEM product and replaces part numbers 300483, 4382889, 61204012-110. This product is a sturdy 3 inch limit switch. This product series has a typical installation of mounting on a stoker or burner on the gas furnace. The location of the seal is facing the airflow direction (from front to back only). This unit is normally installed for low temperature applications where temperatures above 180F are needed.
