The CORPORATE CAPEA / CAPE Cased Aluminum Evaporator Coil, Upflow/Downflow, 2 Ton, 21 in Cabinet (EEV) offers a unique and effective cooling solution, where a traditional packaged AC unit is not practical. This evaporator coil's flattened tube-and-fin condenser coil is air-cooled. The exhaust air is vented directly outside the structure, permitting installation at a distance from the building. The CAPE®/CAPEA® aluminum evaporator coil is designed to operate in HVAC and refrigeration systems as an air cooled, double-tubed, upflow or downflow unit. Its design provides the coil sections with enhanced thermal capacity and pressure capabilities that store and collect heat energy from the ambient air surrounding the coil. This energy is then used to heat (or cool) the conditioned space. The coil's high efficiency reduces electrical consumption, thereby reducing motor starting and running costs, maintenance costs, and refrigerant requirements.

The CAPEA2422C4 has an EEV Expansion Valve option for an additional charge. The coils are factory welded with a copper tube and aluminum fins. Each coil comes complete with a fresh air diffusion fabric, inlet and outlet filter bowls, drain valves and a 1.0 inch service port with tapered plug. The field coils are completely encased within a galvanized steel outer shell (cap). Front discharge or backdraft applications are both standard. Skid adaptors are available for either application to ease installation.

This Thermodyne reinforced aluminum evaporator coil features a cased design that is designed to withstand moist and corrosive environments. The upflow/downflow design makes it ideal for commercial condensing units. The modules are fully constructed in aluminum and finished with an Endura-BondTM fiberglass reinforced composite, which has been treated for maximum moisture resistance. The dirty side of the coil can be cleaned with a quick spray of water after every use.
