This CAPEA3026D4 CAPE air handler, multi speed ECM motor, 2.5 ton, 49-1/2 in cabinet, part of the 3RK18 family from our corporate series with a 6 x 16 footprint, is ideal for new construction or replacement projects as both an air conditioner and heating/cooling unit. It is also suitable for ventilation (exhaust) applications without liquid refrigerant and humidification.

The CAPEA series evaporator coil is designed for outdoor installation and for use with ACNF air handlers. It has a 21 3/4 in x 9 1/2 in evaporator coil, 2 ton cooling capacity, 49 1/2 in cabinet with orifice expansion and includes a weather cover.

The Multi-speed ECM motor spins at 105, 115, 134 and 161 RPM to ensure quiet cooling indoors. The 2.5 ton cooling capacity makes the unit usable in 160 sq. ft. to 299 sq. ft. home or office spaces, with a temperature drop of up to 54°F. The sturdy 49-1/2 in tall cabinet is painted in white for a clean appearance, and is ENERGY STAR rated for energy efficiency. The CAPEA® / CAPE® Series provides evaporator coil performance and efficiency for upflow or downflow air handlers that complies with DOE's Standard No. 245, Uniform Test Method for the Measurement of Energy Consumption of Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps. The CAPEA Series is available in downflow only and upflow/downflow configurations. Forged aluminum fins offer superior performance over stamped fins by providing greater structural integrity and access to a more efficient pressure drop across the coil's surface area because of a larger base area on which to mount components.

The 2.5 ton air handlers feature ECM motors with permanent split capacitor and thermal protection on all fan speeds.

Our CAPEA Air Handler is designed for Multi Zone installation. It can be used to serve a single zone or multiple zones using two air handlers. The built in Orifice allows for installation of a ceiling mounted split system heat pump or air conditioner. This model has a multi speed ECM (Electronically Commuted Motor) that operates very quietly!
