The Fan Blade w/Retainer is used with an 90 Degree Angle Drum Fan to direct air flow in two directions over the evaporator coil. The Fan Blade w/Retainer is attached to the fan shaft and causes the fan blade to rotate. This rotation provides a lower resistance allowing more air to flow across the evaporator coil compared to if the fan remained stationary.
