The Honeywell Model 2249 is a high limit, low limit and circulation control relay designed for use in gas valve applications. This control offers built-in fail safe protection by incorporating a "fail-safe" switching structure, which permits the operation of the gas valve in the event of failure of one or more electrical components. This "fail-safe" structure automatically opens the valve when an overcurrent, short circuit or reverse polarity condition occurs.

Two normally open and one normally closed high limit contacts (HP, HL, N.O.) in conjunction with a normally closed and two normally open low limit contacts (LL, LL, NO) assure safe start-up and operation of equipment.
